Accessory

Accessory is a multifunctional structure that adds space and versatility to a small residence, creating a hidden oasis in a busy neighborhood. The structure is located on a residential lot near the village center of a Vermont town. At one and half stories high and 742 total square feet, Accessory houses a single car garage in the front and a light filled office and lofted space in the back. Sustainability was integral to the design, not only in terms of building features, but also in the way that the project has helped an older residence grow and evolve while staying a part of the neighborhood fabric.
