Concept Design

This design for farmer housing focuses on creating affordable, sustainable homes that are integrated into the landscape of the farm. Haybale walls, prefabricated construction elements, rain barrels, and a communal energy system are some of the key elements that address both affordability and sustainability.

The raised buildings integrate the homes with the landscape around them and to allow farm animals to graze throughout the site. The houses are sited to take advantage of open southern exposures for both the beautiful views and the solar gain.
